For soft formations such as clay and loose sand layers, milled-tooth tricone bits with shallow tooth spacing and strong soil cutting capacity are preferred to ensure fast penetration and prevent bit balling. For medium-hard strata including soft sandstone and limestone, conventional tungsten carbide insert bits are ideal, balancing wear resistance and drilling speed. For hard and abrasive strata like hard sandstone and gravel layers, reinforced large-size insert bits with impact resistance are required to reduce tooth wear and bit damage.
Meanwhile, supporting parameters shall be adjusted accordingly. Sealed and lubricated bearing structures are recommended for long-distance water well drilling to extend service life. Users must select standard bit sizes and IADC codes based on well diameter and drilling equipment.
